Depop Redesign (Spec)

Depop is a unique hybrid platform that merges e-commerce with lifestyle elements, providing users with the opportunity to curate shops showcasing preloved items, predominantly apparel, all while expressing their individuality akin to popular social media platforms like Instagram. During my Capstone pursuit for a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction, my colleagues and I delved into a comprehensive analysis aimed at enhancing Depop to better cater to user preferences. Through extensive user research, we undertook foundational usability tests and deployed SUS surveys to evaluate our design's impact. Ultimately, our efforts culminated in the development of a refined Mid-Fi prototype and a detailed report outlining our findings.

Problem

To enhance user satisfaction and increase efficiency, it is essential to optimize the navigation and design elements within a mobile shopping application. By simplifying the user interface, incorporating intuitive search functionalities

Result

Our end result was an updated prototype. SUS testing results unequivocally confirmed that the recent redesign efforts have indeed achieved the desired success.
